Project Description

Homeschooling support for parents and carers

The home-schooling community in the UK is growing: almost doubling in the past six years in the UK according to a study from Schools Week. Swansea College offers online homeschooling support for parents and guardians who have decided to home educate their children.

As one of Swansea most popular tuition and private exam centres, Swansea College allows pupils to study the British curriculum from home. Live lessons are delivered by experienced and qualified teachers and parents can track their child’s progress via the online school hub. We have helped many parents and their children who have opted for homeschooling with Swansea College.

Reasons for homeschooling

Parents want what is best for their child or children. They may start off in mainstream education but be taken out of school and educated at home, maybe due to a child’s special educational needs not being met by the school leading to their child becoming unhappy or struggling to cope with life at a large secondary school. Poor behaviour in schools is on the rise, and children who want to learn and make progress can be inhibited by other children who misbehave in class: this means that a teacher’s focus is not on your child, but on the child who misbehaves. Parents may also be dissatisfied at being unable to get their child into the school of their choice, leaving their child at a school with unsatisfactory teaching or location. Whatever the reasons, Intuition has worked in conjunction with parents to deliver quality education for pupils.
