About us

At Swansea College, we are proud to be an inclusive, supportive and well-respected community-
based institution. Our ethos is to be an outstanding learning community, founded upon the pillars of
diversity, tailored education and mutual respect. We are an ambitious and thriving college, with high
aspirations for all who step across our threshold. We work together in collaboration with our
students to help them achieve their best and reach their goals.
Our aim is to be a distinguished provider of high quality education, enriching the lives of all students
within a lively, caring community and enabling them to develop the skills to meet the demands of a
changing world with confidence. We strive to deliver an excellent school-home partnership with the
parents, supporting students both in school and when they are at home. Our smaller classes ensure
each and every student gets sufficient help from teachers, extra support or catch-up classes if
needed, and further opportunities to develop sincere bonds with their teachers and classmates.
At Swansea College, we are committed to helping our students succeed and prosper. If you have any
questions about anything we do, please do not hesitate to call or write to us.

Academic Performance

We have diligently worked hard to maintain an excellent standard; we can happily announce that our previous students achieved strong academic outcomes in their GCSE and A-Levels.

There was success at Swansea Sixth Form College, as 74.5% of students achieved A* to C grades. We combine passionate teaching staff with smaller classes, ensuring each student gets sufficient help and opportunities to connect with teachers and peers. This ensures we are a flourishing college that will help you and/or your child to succeed and prosper.

Diverse Curriculum

As the college has grown, our curriculum has developed.  Following the objectives of our curriculum, we have designed our own creative and engaging curriculum to meet the needs of our students, which will spark interest, ignite passion for learning and fire up ambition to inspire every student to realise and exceed expectations!

We provide opportunities for cross-curricular learning, which allows students to make connections between different aspects of the curriculum.

Safeguarding

Safeguarding and wellbeing is paramount. Fortunately, past and present students have deemed their educational environment to be friendly, safe and supportive. Whether choosing to complete our blended learning, face to face or online courses, we constantly provide our students with a range of opportunities to broaden horizons, boost confidence and transform learning into something enjoyable and stimulating (from dynamic and exciting educational visits to life-changing and insightful guest speakers to useful and creative workshops).
