Swansea College offers a two-year GCSE programme for students aged 14+ who would like to complete their secondary education. We offer a wide range of subjects and an academic enrichment programme to ensure our students get the most from their time studying with us.
Students take 7 GCSEs. If students wish to take more than 7 GCSEs, this must be discussed with the College, and additional fees may be payable.
It’s important you select your options as early as possible alongside your chosen subject student will also be part of our Academic Enrichment programme, which includes PSHE and Tutor support.

Swansea College also offers a One-Year Re-sit Course for students who wish to retake some or all of their courses. More information about this can either be found over our GCSE Courses page or through contacting the college. For re-sits, please contact the college
with your contact information and which subjects you would like to re-sit.
Selecting your GCSE Package
Students must study:
- Minimum of 1 Science
- Minimum of 1 option from either Humanities or technology at the very least.
All students will be a part of PSHE, Physical Education and Skills Development.
1. Core subjects
Our core package consists of 7 subjects. The first three subjects, English Language, English Literature and Mathematics are included as core subjects and cannot be changed.

2. Core Science Options
As part of the core package, pupils can select 2 or 3 sciences to study from a choice of Biology, Chemistry and Physics. You also have the option of studying double Science or Triple Science.
3. Core Humanities/Business & Technolgy options
As part of the core package pupils can also select 1– 3 of the humanities to study. They will choose from a choice of Geography, History, Welsh Baccalaureate, Business and Computer Science
