Course Overview

AQA Qualification Code: 7405

Chemistry is everywhere! The world around us is filled with materials that have been discovered, developed, and tested by chemists: medicines, foods, fuels, plastics, fertilisers, and fabrics. Chemistry is the science of substances and their properties and interactions, from explosions to the creation of new compounds. In the search for sustainable chemistry, for safer agrochemicals, and for new materials needed for new technology, chemistry plays the dominant role.

On our AQA A-Level Chemistry online course, you’ll learn all about the elements on The Periodic Table and develop a solid understanding of the way chemistry interacts with everything in the world.

Our AQA A-Level Chemistry develops your skills in data analysis and evaluation, but also encourages creative thinking and problem-solving skills which are transferable to any future career path. This is an ideal course for students considering careers in health and clinical professions, as well as teaching and research roles. Many universities and employers desire applicants with an A-Level Chemistry certificate as it’s a highly respected qualification to have in academic circles.

Our online course is delivered via our online learning platform as this provides learners with a dynamic and engaging experience.

The learning resources are in a range of different media including videos, quizzes, and interactive activities.

Thinking of Going to University?

A Levels are assessed primarily through examinations, and in some cases, coursework and/or practicals too, which are then combined to give a final grade. If you are planning to go on to higher education, this grade can then be translated into Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) points. You will be awarded up to 56 points per A Level which can then be added together to reach the total number of UCAS points required by your chosen university.
