Our GCSE Arabic online course is designed to enable students to develop strong linguistic competence alongside a genuine appreciation of Arabic language, culture, and society. How to Apply

To enrol on the Online GCSE course, please follow these steps:

  1. Complete the GCSE Application Form
  2. Make an initial payment of £250 to secure your place. 
  3. Following this, an invoice will be issued outlining the full course fees and the payment option you selected on your application. 

Exam Registration

Registering for exams at Swansea College is quick and easy. 

Once submitted, you will receive an email confirmation. You can then proceed to book your exams and pay the relevant fees.

COURSE CONTENTS

Syllabus

GCSE Arabic (Edexcel) is a comprehensive course designed to cover all content required by the Pearson Edexcel GCSE Arabic specification. The course fully prepares students for assessment in all four language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing.

All prescribed themes, vocabulary, and grammatical structures are covered in full. The sequence of topic delivery is strategically planned to support progressive language development while ensuring full alignment with Edexcel examination requirements. Students are explicitly guided on how each topic is assessed across the different exam papers, enabling targeted and effective exam preparation.

The course is structured to provide students with a secure understanding of Modern Standard Arabic and the skills necessary to apply their knowledge confidently under examination conditions. With consistent engagement, structured support, and regular assessment, students are well positioned to achieve success in their GCSE Edexcel Arabic examination.

ASSESSMENT

Mock Assessment

Throughout the year, students would be required to complete topic tests and key assessments.
These tests and assessments would be designed to assess the student’s understanding of the
material and their ability to apply it.
Students are also expected to complete mock assessments before the Easter break..
The mock assessments would be designed to simulate the actual tests and assessments, allowing students to practice and become familiar with the format and content. Additionally, the mock assessments would provide feedback to the students, allowing them to identify areas of improvement and focus their study / revision accordingly.

Exam

Each exam board has its own subject specification for the exams they offer. Depending on the exam board you have chosen, you can visit their website and check the subject specification. This will provide you with detailed information about the topics covered in the exam, the assessment criteria, and the structure of the exam. It will also provide you with guidance on how to prepare for the exam and what resources are available to help you. Knowing the subject specification is essential for success in the exam, so make sure you take the time to read it carefully.
