At Swansea College, we look for pupils who will embrace and abide by Swansea College’s values of courage, honour, humility and fellowship, and who have the potential to develop well towards a life of learning, leadership, service and personal fulfilment. Our admissions criteria reflect upon these qualities.

Our dedicated and professional teachers offer students outstanding individual attention thanks to small class sizes and ample teaching hours, which enable students to build confidence and fulfil their potential.

The Admissions Criteria

We expect pupils at Swansea College to be able to navigate successfully on our blended learning courses and to succeed at this critical stage of their education.

We look for pupils who will embrace and abide by Swansea College’s values of courage, honour, humility and fellowship, and who have the potential to achieve a life of learning, leadership, service and personal fulfilment.

The school’s Admissions Department recognises that Covid-19 has caused unprecedented disruption to pupils’ education, academic records and grade outcomes. We welcome applications from academic and bright candidates who may not have met one of the entry criteria due to such circumstances.

Admissions Process

Stage 1:

  • Fill in the Application form with a written personal statement by 25th June 2021
  • If English is not the candidate’s first language, proof of their English proficiency level is required.

Stage 2: Application review meeting with our Student Advisior

Stage 3: An interview with the Principal. It is vital that both parties understand and agree upon the study plan, targets and how that might be achieved. It is also an opportunity where students and parents can ask questions.

Stage 4: Once the place is finalised, students are issued with a letter of confirmation outlining their enrolment details.
